thefan
First of all, thanks for ths GREAT..GREAT tool! And a Happy New Year to all! About the bug: Tested on systems Windows 8.1 Pro 32bit (paint.net 4.0.5), Windows 10 Pro 32bit (4.0.8) Replication steps 1. Open paint.net 2. Have 2 (or more) images open (either new or open an existing image) 3. Use text tool and click on the first image and type anything 4. Change image and use text tool to type anything, but KEEP the first text tool work in progress (that is don't click anywhere to "commit" the text) 5. Change either the font style or color or size or a combination of these on the first or second image (both should still be in progress) 6. Changes are applied to other images <--- Bug? Thoughts If this is a bug, it must be system independent, as I think it's a design flaw. Thanks! Edited January 1, 2016 by thefan
Zagna
Repros here, Win 10 Pro 64bit and 4.0.8. Also, the finalize button on the second picture is greyed out after clicking it on the first picture.
Rick Brewster
The Finish button being greyed out is a bug. The rest of this is something in-between a design flaw and a design consequence. The toolbar settings are kept in-sync across images. This means that toolbar settings on one image can affect another image if it still has a tool in an active editing state. thefan
Also, the finalize button on the second picture is greyed out after clicking it on the first picture. Indeed, I can reproduce this on Windows 10 Pro 32bit with 4.0.8. The rest of this is something in-between a design flaw and a design consequence. The toolbar settings are kept in-sync across images. This means that toolbar settings on one image can affect another image if it still has a tool in an active editing state. Thanks for the reply! I'll be using the software with this in mind! Also, the "Finish" button has the "Enter" key shortcut, but if i press it changes line, is this a bug also or do I use this incorrectly? Thanks again, sorry for keeping you busy here, last question I promise!
