  1. Hey Timatlee, Try some of the stuff I suggested on Worst comes to worst, upload your logs from the %temp% directory.
  2. Hello Valerie, Are there any specific plugins that you are using when this error occurs? Does it happen when you try to save it? The following explanation maybe a whole lotta balony as I am not a developer for PDN, nor do I programme in VB .Net for drawing functions to the level of Rick or others. I have some experience with VB .NET, Lua, PHP, VBA and Java programming languages, but only at an intermediate level. So here is an explanation as layman and as well as I can manage with my limited knowledge of the programme: From the log it looks like you are trying to save it while you have the magic wand tool active or that a plugin is trying to access the memory area while it is locked by the current tool. The basis for this particular error is that the "scratch surface area" (temporary area to store data) is owned by the current tool. Unless the tools ownership is released by a null function( thing that clears the ownership marker to 0). Then it will tell PDN that it has done a naughty thing and give you the error. Hope this helps you troubleshoot the issue.
  3. Hey Happymax, Have you tried doing a malware scan? I know it sounds weird, but I have heard that it may work. Use your favourite tool, I usually use Malwarebytes Antimalware or combofix. Otherwise try a clean boot using msconfig and disable all the start-up items and see if it works. Uninstalling PDN and clearing the %temp%(start->run->%temp%) directory of pdn related items may work too. Post your log files once you've installed it (from %temp% folder) PdnMsiInstall.log, PdnSetupNgenInstall.log, PdnSetupShim.log if it doesn't work.
  4. Hi Jannew, I hope I'm not asking a silly question, but are you using the internal updater or have you downloaded pdn from the website and run it independently from the actual programme? First have a look at http://forums.getpai...-problem/ it seems as though this person had the same issue as you are. Here are some general fixes to help out if that doesn't work. If you haven't done so, download the file from the website and try one of these as your problem seems to point to either an unreachable location with your current user access rights or a missing file/corrupt download. Try to right click on the Paint.Net installer and run as administrator. If that doesn't work try re-registering msi, Start->;run->;cmd(run as admin)->;msiexec /unregister->;msiexec /regserver->;exit. You may need to run cmd as administrator. Then try installing it. From your description it sounds as though you have pdn currently installed. One solution maybe to make a backup copy of your current installation and then uninstall it from add/remove programs, then to try installing it from there. If all of these fail, could you post your log files from start->run->%temp% PdnMsiInstall.log, PdnSetupNgenInstall.log, PdnSetupShim.log It will help troubleshoot your issue.
