  1. Thank you for the tutorial, I really hadn´t used Gradient Mapping before :).
  2. I made something quick you can try, colors are not exactly as yours but similar. Your pattern is a repetition of those 4 tiles so I created them, then is easier to tile later as you wish. I made original shapes in grey color, I find it easier to recolor and adjust later that way. I filled the new layer with color and used Rotate/Zoom. I filled the 2nd new layer with color and used Rotate/Zoom again, even more zoom in. 3rd new layer I used Filled Ellipse to create the circle. And ran AA´s Assistant afterwards on default settings to make the circle smoother. Then I ran Object Align on all layers to make sure the shapes are all in center. Now I used Tile Image on all 3 layers. After that I used Select tool and colored the shapes, I used Color Filter. Then Outline Object to get the small border around on all 3 layers, merge the 3 layers and the tile is ready. Now one can use Tile Image to repeat it as one wishes. Or Layers - Rotate/Zoom with Tiling buttton checked.
  3. I think images are back now? At least I see them now again, had to renew my Photobucket subscription .
  4. Barbieq pretty much already said all I wanted to say but I just have to say the new signature is so cute!
  5. Thank you for your Cobweb and Scribble plugins which helped me to turn this: into this :
  6. Congratulations to all participants! Those berrys are really yummy Helen !
  7. Congratulations to all the winners !
  8. Thank you Welsh and Helen, it means a lot coming from you ! I like the signature competition because it is nice to try out some ideas there, as for the votes I usually don´t get upset about that - it is what it is.
  9. Good job everyone ! Congrats to Rocky for winning with creative and unique signature.
  10. Used http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/26860-glossy-metallic-text/ for the signature, all pdn .
  11. This tutorial is available as a PDF. Click here to view or download it I have made couple of tutorials of wings I thought could maybe help out some beginners: ------------------------- First the bat wings. You will need following plugins for this: AA´s Assistant Drop Shadow Feather and Bevel Selection And now the angel wings tutorial which has also been available in PDN Fans forum for a bit now so some of you might be already familiar with it . I found this really easy Gimp tutorial about how to make wings and made something similar with Paint.net. I used Smudge and Grim Color Reaper in this tutorial. Use Smudge tool freely to shape your wings as you wish . ADDED: If you don´t have Paintbrush option in your Smudge tool, use the option in Smudge tool´s popup window left corner "Add / Remove brushes" and try with own paint splatter png file or brush. If you don´t have own brush here is something I made you can try with:
  12. We like your images dark and moody too . To get the competition going again I challenge with this, original was bigger size (1920x1080).
  13. Welshblue - really feels like the pieces are flying, also like the black and white color scheme and the lighting. :star: :star: DrewDale - great idea, well done 3D effect, only the sphere feels like a bit of flat. :star: Welsh: x15 DD: x10 Welshblue wins
  14. I see a lot of black color on text, did you use a grey shade to write your text as tutorial says?
  15. Have to join Helen and Welshblue in what they said about the signature, perfect colors and kind of calmess in it , one of my favourite signatures I have seen .
  16. You are really good with painting in pdn and portraying people, well done with Barbie and Cool Guy too .
  17. I like the retro radio with the whole background setup too, presentation can give so much to the whole image, well done . Only thing I would say is bottom part of radio is a bit blurry for me (where the buttons are).
  18. A bit late comments but - great idea with the layered fall leaves, I love the fall colors. I also like the swans, minimalistic setup combined with glossy pearls works great.
  19. Welshblue - really like the flowers and the simplicity too but the plain black background is a bit boring for me Sand33p - all fits together well, a lot of detailed work Welshblue - 1 Sand33p - 2
