  1. Oh, I didn't know that. Thank you for answering one of my questions
  2. Hello everyone! I was messing around with making userbars in Paint.Net and noticed a few odd things. For one, the font seems to be bigger than normal (I'm only testing this beside Photoshop so I don't really know how the font size in Gimp is). This is Times New Roman, font size 24 pt. While I do admit that the larger size is more flattering and easier to read, I was just wondering why it was so big compaired to photoshop. I also wanted to question about the space between letters. As seen in the picture up top, the spacing is great. My problem though is with smaller letters (like the ones you use in a small userbar). (sorry to everyone for the supersmall text) As seen here, I used size 7 font (for paint.net) and size 10 font (photoshop) to make them the same size but paint.net's version has all the letters squeezed together and much harder to read, while photoshops has some space between the letters. Is there a reason it is done like this? Is there a way to put more space between the letters? I have tried to use Text+ from dpy, which is great for adding space yourself, but doesn't have non-antialiasing for sharper letters (at least I've never found it). I love using Paint.net and use it for everything except small text, which requires me to fire up photoshop and then wait 10+ seconds just to let it load and is a pain to try and do multipe files that need different text. I hope someone can help me with this odd problem

  4. leave it to me to somehow mess something up: Error Report: File: C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects\IncreaseLocalContrast.dll Effect Name: MeeSoft.Paint.Net.Plugins.IncreaseLocalContrast.EffectPlugin Full error message: PaintDotNet.WorkerThreadException: Worker thread threw an exception ---> System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Core, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' or one of its dependencies. 5. I did a different custom brush, but i still like the way it looks.
  6. ok, good news, the plugin works perfectly when its the only one in the effects folder and im going to see if its one of the plugins thats messing it up. Curtis, you were right, for some reason, i had one of your old version, i think it said 1.20 or something, so i think the internet was downloading it again since i had never cleaned out my downloads. :oops: sorry for all the trouble. edit: i found out what caused effects lab to stop working, its a plugin that i downloaded god who knows when and its called mirror rotate menu, which didn't work with 3.30 anyway, so thanks Curtis. you might want to tell people that if they downloaded mirror rotate menu, they need to get read of it or it effects lab wont work. Thanks!!!!
  7. well pyro, it seems that its working perfectly fine on others computers but not mine.
  8. Curtis, don't worry about the effects lab not working on my computer, I just wont use it.
  9. why dont i just move all the plugins to a different folder except for the curtis plugins to see if its one of the plugins thats messing it up?
  10. paint.net hates me :shock: do you think i should delete all my plugins and then re-download them?
  11. is this it: btw, this is in the paint.net effects file.
  12. i have the one thats on the first page that says CurtisBlack.Effects.v5.20.zip.
  13. yeah, here it is. File: C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects\CurtisBlackEffects.dll Effect Name: CurtisBlackEffects.SelectivePalette.SelectivePalette Full error message: System.MethodAccessException: PaintDotNet.ColorWheel..ctor() at CurtisBlackEffects.SelectivePalette.ColorPicker.InitializeComponent() at CurtisBlackEffects.SelectivePalette.ColorPicker..ctor() at CurtisBlackEffects.SelectivePalette.SelectivePaletteConfigDialog.InitializeComponent() at CurtisBlackEffects.SelectivePalette.SelectivePaletteConfigDialog..ctor() at CurtisBlackEffects.SelectivePalette.SelectivePalette.CreateConfigDialog() at PaintDotNet.Menus.EffectMenuBase.RunEffect(Type effectType)
  14. I did look and it there is no "View Plugin Load Errors" anywhere on any of my menus, i think my computers messed up :shock: do you think its because Paint.Net v3.30 already has all of your plugins except effects lab cause selective palettes not working either.
  15. oh yeah, sorry, new to this. anyway, i just downloaded CurtisBlack.Effects.v5.20.zip. I redid everything i did last time to see if it would work and it didn't. The only thing i did was open Paint.Net and went to Effects->Advanced->Effects Lab and it says theres an error. I tried it with a 3 different types of pictures cause it could i thought it might only work when theres a picture there and it still doesn't work. Edit: Do you think its because i just downloaded the latest version of scriptlab or codelab?
