  1. new avatar + sig using only pyrochild's smudge effect. love that thing I realize my name is a little tough to read in my sig, but I wanted to keep the C° ... the Celsius 233 is the temperature at which paper burns, and I converted that from the book Fahrenheit 451
  2. Stephan - You did an excellent job of harnessing Microsoft's style of design. I wouldn't be surprised if this were already a part of Windows. CMD - The links aren't working for me! In fact, your entire sketchpad site is down, or at least for me. The description for your work is quite a read! Even without seeing the work, I can tell that it's going to be amazing. I can't wait to see it. Good concept btw. I'm always misplacing my minions and unevenly distributing punishment when I try to conquer the world... Sabrown - You're very good at selling your product; you had me convinced that it is already on sale and that I needed to buy it immediately. I really like the layout you have constructed, and I know many people who would benefit from such a simple OS. My only problem with it would be the color scheme. Honestly, it's quite boring, and it lacks contrast. I recommend using Colour Lovers to choose a good color scheme. Although those palettes are really for Illustrator / Photoshop, you can easily adapt them to PDN. Mike - A touch screen PDN in general would be amazing, really. I love your writeup, but the skinning itself isn't too amazing. Simple, yes, and a good concept, but not much of a "wow factor."
  3. This is still one of my favorite tuts, just because of all that can be learned from it. I went back and made this chip: I still think this topic should be stickied! Although the picture made is not suitable for everyone, the techniques to achieve it are essential! Good job edit: why it's so huge, I'm not sure.
  4. @ eraser: I really do love that text. I think your father needs his glasses checked or something, the font is fine to me @ fire_ants: that's a really cool sig, but I agree with eraser on the no text part Tried my hand at a logotype for pdn, used a tutorial off deviantart that I adapted for here: I'm not quite satisfied with it, seems like it needs some sort of flair, but not sure what? [btw it's much bigger but i made it small for the sake of this board xD]
  5. thank you for comments! I was actually trying to avoid shading, and keep it as simple as possible... As for the red part, that can be done easily enough I don't think I'll use it as a sig, but it was fun to make
  6. I started out with a cool idea, but now I'm not sure. It's just boring imo, and I can't get the lines smooth -_- any suggestions? I may just start a new one
  7. free hand. it started out as Jack White but it turned out really creepy... Cropped from the full image found here. I made a sig to go with it, but I don't like it too much. Sending to image hospital though, and will post if I can get it better
  8. this is an old one that I tried when I saw a gif of a 2 legged horse running [the horse was photoshopped so it looked good] lol
  9. oh wow k.d, that's really helpful, did not know that existed! that will help a lot for things I don't have a model for
  10. seems like a lot of very careful clone stamping... I tried doing that but I don't really have the patience
  11. my attempt at a smilie, though mainly to practice shading. I suggest this one after one of Ash's works or somethin
  12. I have 2 suggestions: 1) take the pic of you in the chair and another of just the same area without the chair. Cut yourself out using the tut above and then paste yourself on the second pic without the chair. Floating! 2) would look odd but try clone stamping on the chair to remove it. If you have trouble with clone stamping search for it! (number 1 would be easier)
  13. or possibly this? viewtopic.php?f=15&t=20040 both are excellent tutorials edit: whoops messed up url
