  1. I was wondering if there's a way to adjust the hardness of the clone stamp? I know it's possible to adjust the transparency using a layer and selecting the Opacity from 0 to 255. That works well. If you look at how Photoshop allows you to select the type of stamp and hardness, it's a great feature of the clone stamp. The copied area is at 100% in the center and fades out to the edge. It makes it much easier to 'blend' and adjustment into a new part of the image. Is this available on PN's stamp?
  2. I searched the forum and couldn't find an answer. I want to insert a smaller image into a larger one. So for example I have a large picture of a wedding couple and want a small image in one corner of the wedding rings. I know I can do this in layers and make the larger picture more opaque so the small image is more visible but you can still see the background of the large image in the small one. I want the ability of inserting the small picture and not see the background of the large image at all. I'd also like to not have to reduce the opacity of the larger image if that's what's needed. Thanks for any help.
  3. Check out this tutorial: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=5513#p57490 Maybe Jesse get some ideas for new plugin there too. Thanks for pointing me in this direction. This works great and can be adjusted in so many ways to get the effect I wanted. Great forum guys. Thanks to Tanel for posting the tutorial as well.
  4. Thats basically the idea. and also being able to adjust the intensity of the effect. Something like the image Oval Centre Spot White Ref. 140 on this page.http://www.cokin.com/filtres5.html?=#140. I have this filter but of course when you shoot with it, it's impossible to 'undo' in software if you don't want the vignette effect and softness.
  5. Thanks, That's great. The limiter works perfectly. I just tried it on a 19mb TIFF file and it only took about 60 seconds on limit 5 quality 3. Very well done and great plugin. Funny I spent thousands to buy the best lenses i could find and now want to make my images fuzzy! Do you know if anyone has a plugin that will creat a soft white border around a picture (like a vignette effect only white) I will be shooting several weddings this year and some of the clients want this soft white border effect on several shots. It can be done with the filters I have but it's better done afterwards because the filter effect is part of the image that can't be changed.
  6. I added you focal point plugin and found the same issue. Move the slder to quality 3 and the rendering takes 20 minutes on a big file. I can only find the original plugin for downloading. Can you point me to the link for the update? Btw, it's an awesome plugin and so are several others from your pack. Thanks for doing this.
  7. I like the idea of the plugin but I'm seeing an issue. The plugin must have some built in adjustments (unless the 8 bit conversion is causing this) but the colour of the image, when it opens in PN, is really flat and the contrast drops quite a bit. Is there a way to adjust the plugin or is it a glitch in the software? I used it a few times an liked it, but have gone back to using Pentax Photo lab to set WB and then saving the file as a TIFF, then using PN to finish the touch-ups.
  8. Good idea and as you said if that's not possible, I'll just use it seperately
  9. I understand that but it's nice to speed up the work flow to do as much processing in one program instead of saving an image and opening it again to re-modify. Especially if there are a lot of shots to do corrections with.
  10. i have been using Paint.net for awhile with great results but have zero programing/code experience. One area I can't find a plugin for is CA correction and distortion correction. I found this PS plugin and wondered if anyone had modified it to work in Paint.net or we had something similar that does CA/Distortion/Vignetting control. http://www.epaperpress.com/ptlens/
  11. David, i can't thank you enough. I just loaded Quad and tried it on a shot. TOO COOL. Thanks a ton for your help. Peter
  12. Thanks David, I'll have a look at that and try it out. I just picked an extreme example. I wouldn't do it to this shot because of the shooting angle but a shot say of a city skyline from some distance shows this effect to a lesser degree and can handle the adjustment without looking unnatural. I already know how to straighten the shot, which in this case clearly needs a little help. Thanks again. Peter
  13. In the attached image the church spires converge toward tht top of the shot. This is common in ultra wide shots with many parallel lines. I know PS has a plug in that can do this correction. Thanks for the help, i just couldn't find anything in the tutorials or plug ins. peter
  14. Is there a tutorial that explains how to make parallel lines that converge on a building straight? I have some wide angle shots that have the typical inward lean to the buildings that are not in the center of the picture and want to straigthen them out. Thanks Peter
