When you update the classic distribution (as opposed to the Microsoft Store) of Paint.NET, the update files are downloaded to the %temp% directory.

(unsupported by Microsoft) Are you using an unofficial "Slim" build of Win 11 on that old hardware. That would explain the missing Print Wizard.

Yeah, end-users don't care about the internal implementation of a plugin. 99.99% of people downloading plugins wouldn't even understand the terminology, and would just be a point of confusion.

We don't know where you saved your images files either. If you can open the files via the 'Open Recent' menu in Paint.NET, then you can right-click in the image-list and select 'Open Containing Folder'.

Version 2.0.0.1 posted. This fixes an issue where Assemblies were loaded incorrectly, and could then cause a crash in CodeLab.

This is just a setting in the Windows Registry. I assume Avast enable the setting, and it was never turned back off during the Avast uninstall. Did you actually disable AVAST? It is known to cause this exact issue. https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/117318-cannot-save-png/

Is ByteFence or AVAST interfering with file saving? Can you disable these, and see if it makes a difference?
