dcraw.exe should support Canon 50D, 60D, and many other new file types. It looks like this plugin has not been updated in several years. As new cameras come out this plugin will need to be updated to include the new version of dcraw.exe which will then include support for the new files. It appears the source code is included so I will go ahead and try to get a new version of this dll built using the latest dcraw.exe. This should solve pretty much all problems previously reported in this thread.
I don't have Visual Studio installed on my work laptop but I do at home. I will see if I can slap this together for you guys when I get home today.
