  1. Tone Gradient Angle (new July '17) Name: TGAngle (Tone Gradient Angle)* Description: Shows the relative angle of the tone gradient giving various emboss effects. Menu: Stylize Original release date: 10th July 2017 Author: Red ochre (John Robbins) .dll name: TGAngle Compatibility: Tested on Pdn3.5.11 and latest Pdn4 version. TGAngle.zip Firstly let me thank MJW! - I used the super-sampling techniques he showed me when writing 'Aardvark'. There are already similar effects available but the AAsmoothing and colouring blend choices should make this useful too. Run this on a layer with an image that has some variation in tone. The built-in 'Clouds' is good to test on. So are photographs but you will get better results if you resize the image to a reasonable size - say less than 1000 pixels (max side). Do try the metallic colouring options too!(These were designed to work with the colouring slider at halfway but do experiment). Hopefully you should see some screen shots below (image hosts permitting) that should give you some ideas. Please show me what you can create with it! *(Tone Gradient Magnitude gives good outline effects too - but I haven't finished writing that yet).

  6. Moderators Note: This plugin may not work with newer versions of Paint.NET. An alternative plugin is available here: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/31629-animated-images/ Secure Download If you get a warning, try the unencrypted download. Here is a plugin to open and save animated GIFs/PNGs, one frame into each layer. You will have to rename the files to .agif or .apng to be imported and rename them after saving. [ I did this to avoid conflict with the built-in file handlers as animated GIFs have the same extension as normal GIFs. Paint.net can already open normal GIFs, so we can't use the standard GIF extension as paint.net's native handler would take preference. I used .agif instead. To get it to work you must rename .gif files to .agif before opening, and .agif files to .gif after saving.] If the APNGs being produced aren't small enough, try running them through APNG optimizer. Animated GIF: Animated PNG (works in Firefox and Opera): You can also show APNGs in Chrome, IE9 and Safari with this.

  7. @Woodsy, I'd never been that much of a Pink Floyd fan but I was listening to their music last night. Yes, it is a bit different. @MadJik, those shapes at the edges of your sig are just divine! Love bright colours too.

  9. Bob , can the saved svg files be opened with note pad, and do they have a height & width attribute listed? You may be able to resize from there. Then do whatever you have to do.

  10. Another great addition to our collection @Red ochre of plugins. I think it replaces a few tutorials as well. Surprised you didn't make a reference to your fingers. Gave me a thought.

  12. MadJik and Andrew offer good advice Marilynx and that's how I also save multiple PNGs from one PDN. However, if you're worried you may overwrite an existing PDN or JPG, here's another way which does not require you to close the PDN file every time: 1. Select All (Ctrl+A) your original PDN file. 2. Turn on and off the appropriate layers to get the image you want 3. Copy Merged (Ctrl+Shift+C) 4. Paste into New Image (Ctrl+Alt+V) 5. Save (Ctrl+S) the new image as a JPG with an appropriate name 6. Close (Ctrl+W) the JPG file 7. Start again at 2 for the next JPG image

  14. SOOT SPRITES!! Now the important question, @MadJik, is whether they are from My Neighbor Totoro or Spirited Away? Judging by the background/other elements, I'm going to guess Totoro? Doesn't matter, still soot sprites.
