  1. Ice dragons! I love them! Go ahead with the project! (I think this tutorial may give you some tips on ice dragons, especially on how the icy scales should look like when finished).

  2. Improvements to brushes are in the plans, hopefully for this summer. From a technical standpoint, yes it would be straightforward to utilize the existing shapes system for brushes.

  7. Hey there @wreckage Just a sort of convoluted way of doing it. First you need this plugin for paint https://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/20622-psfilterpdn-2016-10-05/ You might have it already if you know how to add PS Filters to Paint.Net Then travel the net to http://telegraphics.com.au/sw/ and look for the scramble filter. "Break an image into square or rectangular blocks, and rearrange them randomly, like a sliding block puzzle." @toe_head2001 Neither one of those suggestions will work. Trust me - I've tried. @BoltBait is designed to paint a picture with tiles and @MJW will tile an image into a layer. I'm sure they will correct me if I'm wrong Hope this works for you @wreckage

  9. Buildings are much easier to paint then starships. This all started with 1 tree and a new plugin. Thanks to @BlastWave for the inspiration.

  11. Most excellent tutorial. Talk about details. Followed you every step of the way and learned several new things about shading and using noise. Thank you for your effort in describing exactly how you accomplished your artwork. Now I understand your gifs a little more too. Looking forward to seeing another one if you have the time. And as always - a sample of what I came up with after several attempts. No enhancements on this one - but I did take some artistic creativity along the way.
