  2. Does a sculptor get downhearted when he doesn't receive feedback from the public viewing their work in a Gallery? You will not receive feedback or reps for every image or video you post. Get used to it. The members of this forum are not, in any way, obliged to comment, upvote or acknowledge your efforts. They do so entirely at their own choosing. Finally this is the paint.net forum, not your personal social media. If you feel you really must have instant and gratifying feedback I suggest you try Twitter, Facebook or some other platform.

  4. Shochi, not everyone is online all the time. We have lives too, like family, work & study. Some are battling illness or disasters. Then there is the time difference between countries. It has nothing to do with your work. If you create work & show it here only to get people comment & applaud you then you will be disappointed. The galleries have been very quiet for a long time. Go look at other people's work & comment in their galleries. Try out some of the tutorials that people have taken so much time to create. Your work has its own unique style which you should be proud of. Your youtube video is really pretty. The colours are so pretty that I would love to see more but slower to give my old eyes more time to see them in their beauty. The music is very nice too.

  5. In 1969 my best friend was killed in Vietnam. All I had was a black and white image of his Marine Corp photo taken by a friend with his smart phone. I fould paint.net made colorizing a sinch. This was the image I had to start with. I weas able to use his head and cap and colorize his face and fix the white in the cap. The Eagle Globe & Anchor had to be replaced. The background was set to transparent. Then an image of a Marine PFC was located, the uniform was saved and the head and cap attached. I then touched up the edges and saved the final image. A Marine Corp flag was loaded and my friends picture was layered onto that and this is the result. Don was a handsome guy and this helped bring a part of him back to life for use who knew and loved him. Thanks to paint.net it was pretty easy compared to Photoshop.

  6. Forum Rule 12: 12) Posting inappropriate images or using inappropriate words is a quick way to get yourself banned. For example, the word "gay" is not an insult. Neither is the word "retarded". Photographs of people, whether modified or unedited, should not be of a "seductive" or lecherous nature. "Erotic art" is not permitted. Remember, this is a family-friendly board. Let's keep it that way. If you want to show off that kind of art, then please get an account at Deviant Art.

  7. Oops! I nearly missed this one @Woodsy. What a beautiful and tranquil setting, a place I'd love to go to relax too. How I wish you could go for a spell as well . You are really good with wood .

  8. Just remember that the Hardness setting is ignored if Anti-Aliasing is disabled (also found in the Tool Bar). Ref: http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/CloneStamp.html

  9. When using the clone tool, look on the toolbar for the "Hardness" setting. 100% is hard edges, 0% is very soft edges.

  12. Dear Mr. @Ego Eram Reputo When a sculptor sculpture standing in the public environment, before he got the praise and the price of his sculpture from the Owner of the property or the buyer. However, i did not want to make contract of feedback or rep. I just explain to myself and the other including you that feedback or rep make you feel better. So, i wish i feel better! ____________________________________ Dear @Eli Thank you. I will never forget you were the first to replay when i open the gallery. And its my delight to give people joy for free with no conditions. __________________________________ Aristotle once said: "Happiness is the highest level could humanity bring on herself"

  13. Ah - Rubbish! If you can out do us (the Dwarves) then please do - that's a challenge! - it's not really constructive criticism until you actually suggest a better way - obviously. Seriously, much time and thought went into the design - people can always use inkscape or crashy xml geometry programs. Shapemaker is available on the Australian thieves website - so figuring out how to stop piracy would be a better use of your skills, in my opinion. Not starting a fight - just annoyed at piracy and knowing your experience/ability hoping you could suggest a solution?

  17. Changing the file extension does not change the format. The extension is an indicator of the format. A clue to how the data is encoded. Think of it like a chocolate cake: you can put whatever icing you like on it but that doesn't change the fact that it is a chocolate cake. If you want a carrot cake you're going to have to bake it again.

  22. Seerose thank you so much for the lovely comment. Doughty, what a gorgeous new sig! So polished. Here are some works for this month. I have not added the original photos for the manips. Too tedious & Imageshack is not playing nice PB is not a lot better. Southern Cross Tell me This is a rework of an earlier image. It was created in response to a work colleague needing a poster. I chose this one because learning brings us our of darkness, the tree is ageless knowledge & the Southern Cross watches over all of us down under. Luminosity This is a manip of a photo of a plant in my garden called a Burro's Tail. Honey Amber It has bee forever since I did anything like a jewel. Fish Tales Just because this one reminds me of a fish First Contact The name is a mystery - just felt that it was right for this one. Again heavy use of Jitter plugin. Diaphanous Reminds me of a book I read once about a red veil. Not sure that I really understood the book but some interesting concepts about the afterlife. Carnivale This one reminded me of a party or carnival. Jitter was my main inspiration for this piece. Alien Old Man's Beard plant that loves to grow in our garden. Laplacian Pyramid Filter & a few other plugins...Reminds me so much of HR Giger's Alien.

  28. Oh Limon, some nice images here! Those gossamer wings on the dragonfly & the jewel on the tail are so gorgeous. Very nice interpretations of others' works with photofrags (love that expression). Amazing works you have here.

  29. Impressive spacescapes Warpdrive! R van den Berg - I think you can lay off the diet now! - clever photo-manipulation. I made this using 'Cuboids' - 642 by 800 pix, I think that's ok?
