Rick Brewster
Update: This plugin is now included in Paint.NET v2.70 and later. No need to download and install it manually! Ok I whipped this up in about 30 minutes, hope you like it. It essentially automates the "Glow" tutorial that I wrote here: http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=860 Download the DLL here: http://www.eecs.wsu.edu/paint.net/misc/ ... ct_2_6.zip Source code: http://www.eecs.wsu.edu/paint.net/misc/ ... rc_2_6.zip Note: The code is painlessly simple, so be sure to check it out if you're interested Before: After: (The car is a BMW M3 CSL ... such beauty ) The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
Darren
Ok, pretend we don't know what to do with it once we've downloaded it. :?
Rick Brewster
Oops, I forgot to include the readme.txt in there. If you download it again, it'll be in there. I've copied the readme here for convenience: Glow Effect ----------- To install, place the DLL into the "Effects" directory where you installed Paint.NET, then restart Paint.NET. Example: C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects\ The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
Crazy Man Dan
Looks nice! All dreamy and such with the soft lighting. Of course, if it were my dream, it'd be an Aston Martin in there in place of the BMW... I'll have to wait 'til I get home to check it out, but initial impressions bode well for a favorable reception. BuzzKill
Another great plugin! I've used it in a couple spots on this background I've been working on. Thanks Again, Rick! - DO NOT contact me asking for the .pdn of my avatar or the PDN logo. Thank you. Have a nice day.

cyanstorm
I love Paint.NET and I am currently exploring all its options and just playing with it to learn. I have downloaded a couple of plugins and they work great but this glow plugin doesnt, it crashes (freezes) Paint.NET as soon as I start it, I found out it was this plugin after I started taking out every plugin one by one and none of the others crashed Paint. Is there any workaround for this? I would love to be able to apply glow effects to my projects without having to go through the fuss of adding and trying layers, etc thanks! Crazy Man Dan
Picc84: Is that the NISMO Skyline GT-R? I've been a Gran Turismo player since the first game in the series on the PSone, but I've never been too big a fan of the Skylines... By the way, nice use of Bulge! It really gives the car a great perspective.
