The full blown tutorial is at this address and on the first post

The node range is now 3 to 50 but everything else in the video is the same

it's 10 minutes long and it describes more. I composed new music for it so it's not too boring. In fact, here it is...

You certainly put a lot of effort into your video tuts. You even compose your own music?. Very impressive display for tutorials. I usually make my video tuts quick, dirty and to the point. I'd post some links, but you probably wouldn't understand my Boston accent anyway.

Just curious, what do you edit your tuts with? My guess would be Vegas?

Version 1.0.13+ Ready for downlod

Preview ( Node Pad) will now match final image exactly. Diffusion can be set to zero for harder line effect.

The preview is not going to show the final image in miniature, it is still going to show the range of the filaments from outer (solid line) to inner (dashed line).

Before, the actual image did not coincide with the range on the node pad. This made aligning things a bit of a challenge, now it does.

The example image is there to show you that the boundaries align with the final results but I see where it can be super confusing.

As you can see below it allows accurate positioning of elements and a much more stark interpretation of the filaments..

I updated the post to avoid confusion in the future.

SkullB
1. Create New layer. (for some reason the transparent background does not overwrite an opaque background layer?)
2. Run Filaments (any version)
3. When pattern shows click the 'base' color in the U.I. and slide the opacity slider to 0 in the color picker U.I. that appears.

Hope that helps. ;)
