Yeah, it stopped working after I ran a scan on my registry using CCleaner.

I'm not sure what to do, I've been using Paint.Net without a problem for years.

Why would you run CCleaner? There's only 2 reasons, as far as I can see:

1) You're having a problem with your system - Instead of letting CCleaner run wild in your registry, I find it better to just deal with the specific problem you're having. A little Googling should get you to a specific answer to that problem.

or

2) You're NOT having a problem you just think you should run a registry cleaner once in a while to keep your system "tuned up" - This couldn't be more stupid. If your system is running fine, there is NO REASON to run something like this.

There was adware in my registry so I ran a scan.

I just got back from using a system restore and the adware is back.

The CCleaner scan in the registry fixed the problem last time, but MAY have damaged Paint.Net.

You can see the adware, but there are many many other files in the list.

Is there ones I should look for that relate to PDN?

Of course I agree this is piriform's problem and not paint.net's, but in case youre curious: maximize the window, sort by registry key, and search for HKCU\Software\paint.net. You will probably find other entries in the sorted region of HKCU\Software so youll know when youve found that region, but it isn't guaranteed (I didn't have that many). Then you can find it's comments on why it's messed up.  I only found "obsolete software". When I allowed it to just clean one of those, it said it was going to delete it, and it did.
