DarthAsylum
The new version of paint.net keeps crashing on all my computers, mostly when pressing the "save as" button.Honestly, why do you include an auto-update function, if the new version is worse than the previous? -.-
mottoman
Nice attitude for a first post! Perhaps someone could offer you help if you was to include a crash report on here.
barbieq25
Mottoman is quite right. We cannot help you without a crash log. Also, I have edited your title. No swearing. 1 Quote Knowledge is no burden to carry. April Jones, 2012 Gallery My DA Gallery
david.atwell
Barbie, you're much more generous than I would have been. DarthAsylum, literally hundreds of thousands of people have downloaded this program with precisely zero problems. I myself have done it no less than six times. While there are several bugs of varying severity that have been reported (as with any new release), this one, to my recollection, has not been. If you are the only one who is having the problem, the problem might just be you. I understand you're frustrated, but dropping the attitude will get you much better results. It'll only cause you problems in the future. You've been officially warned for both rudeness and cursing in the title; further infractions WILL result in a ban. That said, We'd love to help you get this sorted out. When you post the crash log, you might also want to let us know what sort of software you have running on your computers when Paint.NET crashes (such as antivirus software, desktop mods, etc.) that might be affecting this. Maybe there's a bad interaction here. 1 Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. DarthAsylum
the problem might just be you Obviously...it's out of the question, that you write <No cursing.> code I couldn't find any crash reports, it just says "paint.net stopped working". Most of the time it crashes immediately after start, other times only when I want to save my work. Where are the logs located?
Pixey
Go to the cog wheel at the right top side of the Tool window. A pop up window will appear, choose Diagnostics, then at the bottom will be a crash log which you can then copy and paste into the relevent thread. david.atwell
Obviously...it's out of the question, that you write <No cursing.> code I couldn't find any crash reports, it just says "paint.net stopped working". Most of the time it crashes immediately after start, other times only when I want to save my work. Where are the logs located? I don't write any code for the program. And your attitude has improved slightly, but the cursing has got to stop as well. Read the rules, you're not exempt just because you're upset.
