been trying different things with this tutorial. thanks for a great intro to Paint.NET. gonna post some of my results here, lets see if I do right.

I'd like to try this tut but many of the pix are missing, including the final one. I really need examples to follow so I know if I'm doing it right. Any chance of seeing the missing links?

I added glass blocks somewhere in there..... I liked the look of it.

You are looking for median. Go to Effects>Noise and click on median ;)

If my memory serves me correctly, it used to be called median blur and could be found in the blurs menu, but it has been moved since the tutorial was written.
