I downloaded the Paint.net program the other day, Aug. 10, 2012, and now I have a new tool bar installed. I am pretty sure I downloaded from http://www.getpaint.net/ which sent me to http://www.dotpdn.co...nloads/pdn.html and now I have this http://www.conduit.com/ .Thanks

While this tool bar is not extremely dangerous it is a nuisance and almost impossible to remove. Look at this , http://forums.spybot...ead.php?t=62832 , Thanks

Thanks again,
Dave

The real Paint.NET download does not bundle anything besides Paint.NET.

There are, unfortunately, a lot of ads on the Paint.NET download page that disguise themselves as the download button. The correct path through the maze eventually leads you here: http://www.dotpdn.co...nloads/pdn.html and the actual download link is right under "Free Download Now"

I know it's ridiculous, but Rick won't do anything about it, despite many many many complaints.

I'm not sure I know what to say about that!

Unfortunately there is an income stream from the ad click revenue. It's the price we have to pay.
