Thanks for the warning Remake, I reported it a few minutes after it was posted but I think our moderators are busy with holidays.

I've fixed the poster and the post. No need for that sort of thing. Thanks for reporting it.

I placed the file in the FileTypes folder but it still doesn't recognise PCX files, though other programs can load them no problem (sample attached). Using v3.5.11

temp89, 3.5.11 is very old and not supported. You'll need to install the latest version, 4.0.12, otherwise we can't help you.

Hi, I have been offered the chance to take over the development of the PCX file plugin, currently I have added the ability for the user to select and apply one of a number of pre-set palettes (stored in an external file) to their image on save. Making it possible to apply Palettes such as those found in IdTech games e.g. Quake 2 without loss of palette ordering

Here is a temporary link, until I can get a Sourceforge online:

SourceForge is on its last leg, and is all but dead. Most projects just use it as a download mirror, and nothing else. SourceForge's new owner is not going to change that.

I'd recommend using GitHub instead.

thanks toe_head2001, I was unaware of that, though It shouldn't matter as I was only intending on using SourceForge as a binary file mirror anyway, (I wasn't sure about how many downloads my Yandex link could handle), there is already a GitHub for the plugin here: https://github.com/EzArIk/PcxFileType
the SourceForge mirror for the binaries:https://sourceforge.net/projects/modified-pdn-pcx-plugin/
