Night Vision Effect

Recommended Posts

While browsing, I saw a few references to procedures to create a "Night Vision" look to an image. This is a simple plugin to directly create a Night Vision and Inverted Night Vision look. Also an intensity control slider.

Just a simple application of the Green Channel = (r*0.2+g*0.6+b*0.1) while Red=Blue=0.

:RightArrowBlue:DPLNightVision.zip

Unzip to the .../Paint/Effects folder.

NightVision will be in the Color section.

The User Interface:

The Result:

I've been rediscovering this effect and found all links were broken. I fortunately had a copy of the plugin on my old computer, which is now available for download in the first post. It works well in Pdn 4.0.21 :)

The effect's UI:

My nightstand with a few of my pencils:

My nightstand with a few of my pencils through night-vision goggles:

Another example, my stuffed tomatoes (actually my mom's recipe):

Hope this helps! t2042.gif

I wish mods would post something so that we know that they already dealt with a problem.

If they do, then I won't waste my time checking and reporting.

You could see some info at the bottom of the first post:

No big deal but that (and the deletion of Maximilian's link) came after my report.

EDIT: ... or maybe not.
