Possum Roadkill is quite correct: posting your request in the tutorial section is specifically mentioned in the orange box at the top of the page (as something you should avoid doing).

You mentioned searching, but have you tried http://www.getpaint.net/search.html?

I found this very quickly using the search term "smudge" : viewtopic.php?f=35&t=27003

the smudge tool in Photoshop is much much better then the smudge tool in PDN.. but as i do.. create a nice brush and make the smudging in more layers, duplicate and smudge my friend DUPLICATE and SMUDGE!

People regard stuff that costs a ton more valuable and of superior quality than freeware.

Sure, Photoshop's smudge is better than mine*, but "much much better?" That hurts.

but i used it and i dont found an good tutorial wich likes smudge tutorials in PS

Just use lots of time on the smudge.. thats really the only advice :|... and pyrochild im sorry xD, but its just a fact.. hope the new version is going to make it easier to smudge :D
