Update 22nd February 2010: First "realistic" picture!



It's a tryout of my way to make something look like it's "glowing" (Later I developed my tutorial out of this technique).

I've read Wither's Complex Grass Tutorial. Due to a draft I sketched in a boring school-lesson of a cute sheep I used it to "create" a realistic set.

Well, I've used it in 2004 the first time. In the following years I spent my time with other things but with the February of this year I rediscovered PDN It's very funny to use it and I like it very much. It's an honour to me to read those comments. But BTW: your works look much nicer than mine!

Love what yo have done with the waterdrop! Needs a bit of AA to get rid of a few jaggies but WOW! I like the choice of colour too.

Yeah, AA is missing Maybe I'll correct it, thank you for the tip!

One way I get around it is to start with a massive canvas 3200 x 2400 & Gaussian Blur @ 2. Then when you're done, resize to 800 x 600.
In having said that, sometimes in tutes this won't work because the settings refer to the size of the canvas (usually 800 x 600).

It's still a very fine effort!

Update 17th March 2010: Lost in Space



Watching many good galleries, I saw many space/planet pictures. Thet's the reason for my Lost in Space :wink: It took me about 4 hours I cannot have spent them better

Hope you like it! (HQ-Version is much nicer to watch, but it's about 2,5 MBs!!!)

BTW: Shape3D needed 40 minutes to render the pic, which was 3400x2800px :-D
