How to make Lightnings with Paint.NET

New version of this one: http://paintdotnet.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?p=25201#p25201 (image fix)

1. Open a new picture with size of your wishes. I took 400x400.

2. Make a Gradient from top to bottom in Black and White.

3. Use clouds (Modus: Difference)

4. Invert colors

5. Now open the Colour Level and push the middle arrow on the right side completely down.

6. Open Curves and color the image. e.g.:

7. Result:

Sorry maybe it might be just me but I don't see a difference between the first and the second tut.

I love using lightning effects like this. I found mine off youtube and its very similar to this one (not saying its exact). The Lightning works soo great in pics

Cool! So that's how TomJackson's fire plugin works. (hint hint there's a plugin that does half of this) :oops:
