Buttons Plugin
Posted Image Posted Image

What's this?
Based on a stand-alone code sample for C#, I've changed it to be a plugin for Paint.net.
References :

:Warning: ==> As it first loads the list of fonts installed on your system, it could take few seconds before the dialog appears.

Download the DLL
Plugin Boutons.dll

The source is available with the plugins package!

How to install?
Close Paint.net
Unzip and place the DLL in your Effect folder usually: C:/Program Files/Paint.NET/Effects

The User interface
This plugin is added to the menu Effects, submenu Render.

Text:
Tape in the character(s) you want for the text of button.
You could preliminarilly use the plugin "Which symbol" http://forums.getpai...showtopic=10684
to find out the symbol you need.

Color wheels:
You could choose the color for the backcolor, the "Surround" and the text.

Fonte:
Choose a fonte (from your windows list).

Sizes:
Set the sizes of text, border, height and width.

Corner round amounts:
Set the amount for the rounded corner (100 is round/elliptical, 0 is square).

Offset of the text:
Move the cross around to place the symbol right on the center of the button.
Depending on the symbol or the fonte, you could have some adjustment to do here.

The Examples:

 Awesome plugin. So easy to make simple buttons to mess about with now. :P
Just a suggestion, maybe there should be a radius option, like in the rounded rectangle plugin, so that you can make square buttons too, instead of only ellipse ones.

Merry Christmas

high quality very nice plug in.

found if you do two buttons the same but the top one in gray writing and lower transparency and offset writing by 1 or 2 you can get a shadow. looks like it works best in black writing.

I know I'm asking for the moon but is there any way to load a premade background instead of solid color? similar to a photo flood fill option?

Or a transparent background option?

Awesome plugin MadJik! I'm going to use this often. Many thanks.

As much as I dislike the 20 foot tall user interface :), the output is pretty slick.

I agree...

Should I remove the color wheels for background and surround, and take primary color and secondary color instead without the possibility to change during the preview?

I will remove the margin...

I'm also trying to create rectangle shape. But I'm fighting with the upper shine, it's rectangle too :?

Any other suggestion?

could someone explain "pinned" to a french as me?

Good job himself22, but the zoom blur seems a little unnecessary to me.

Thank you very much for the Updating, because I used to have this error before -when I set the alpha to less than 255 in the colors pallet- but no more after the update.

Good catch, but too late as I saw it by myself and now it's fixed in the actual release!
