Please read Gem Tut V1 first.
OK!! I better start Gemstone Version2 now, or if I keep finding new ways, it's gonna be Version3
This tut should help you draw something like the images below.
I have made the tut as simple as I can, These took a bit more time.
Lets get ready: You will need Erode/Dilate filter
1.Fill black background, Add noise (I=80,C=0)
2.Dilate (I=7,S=Tri)
3.Dup Layer, Flip ONLY the Top Layer Horizontal, Dilate (I=4,S=Tri), Blend mode=Overlay, Flatten image.
4.Colorize it as you like(Curves or Color filter or Color tint) I usually Like to use color tint.
Done!!
You should get something like this.
With a bit more layers, blending and adjustments, you can get somethng like this.
Please follow Gem Tut V1 for rest of the steps. (Start from 10th image there)
And don't forget to feather wehn needed.
