I think it's cause he used the old version, which made more rough edges.

A little tip fets... don't forget to apply a little shadow drop onto the elements that you put on your button. In this case the * and the ~, it will highlight the whole 3D effect to the end results.

Sorry to interrupt everybodys work, but where can I find the "Value" of the colour? Lmao.

On the color tab, click "more" if you havnt already. It should be one of the bottom color sliders there. Its either labled "Value" or just "V", i forget which one.

Yeah, it looks like it can be done a lot better. I'm not saying it's bad, it's just that if you re-wrote it now, it would be easier to do and understand.
