Really nice tut! :] I really like the result but...... I dont like how you made the bottom part........ I think you shouldve just skipped that part. It would look more like a vase if there was only the body and the head. So here's my try: Is it good enough...?xD And its kinda choppy once you add in the last shine on the vase. It needs a lot of feathering.

I did a little experiment with this and found a pretty good result with multi colour gradient instead of codelab. Codelab requires that certain code that can be obtained with just one simple effect. But instead of codelab, use the standard multi colour gradient effect. Turn the layer opacity down, and then gaussian blur that selection.
