  1. Who knows if you actually have a hardware issue? Maybe you do, maybe you don't. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Perhaps you just bypass that error in standard installer by using the offline installer. https://github.com/paintdotnet/release/releases/latest If the offline installer fails, then yeah, you must have bigger issues to deal with. Perhaps you'll need to run chkdsk, or even replace some hardware components.
  2. Please post the diagnostic information found within paint.net. Settings -> Diagnostics -> Copy to clipboard.
  3. You are trying to run the effect on a completely opaque layer; which will never work. It looks like you're trying to add a shadow to some text. You should create a new layer, and add the text to that new layer. Then run the effect.
  4. Sounds like you might have an existing paint.net installation that has become broken. Please use this utility to remove the broken installation: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed Afterwards, you should be able to install paint.net anew.
  5. I don't think I'll add that. There would be a lot of edge cases that would make a bit more difficult than you might think. For example, when a chart slice is extremely narrow, it will no longer have enough space to accommodate the puzzle lock/key.
  6. Incorrect. Pyrochild's Outline Object works just fine in the latest version of Paint.NET.
  7. You'll need to edit them one at a time. Paint.NET doesn't do any kind of batch processing.
  8. Does your palette file have empty lines at the end of it?
  9. Paint.NET places the image onto the clipboard in various formats. It's up to the consuming program (in this case, Paint Tool SAI) to choose which format it wants to use. Maybe Paint Tool SAI is choosing a format that it doesn't handle properly. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ These are the formats Paint.NET is placing onto the clipboard:
  10. Yes, there are keyboard shortcuts for that. https://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/KeyboardMouseCommands.html#4
  11. You forgot to include the actual image file, so we can help you troubleshoot the issue.
  12. What's this physcocolour thing you're referring to?
  13. This is why we have publishing rules here on the forum. https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/117240-guidelines-for-publishing-plugins/
  14. IrfanView can batch convert .pdn files to .png files.
  15. What is Pgm? Try restarting the graphics driver by pressing: Win + Ctrl + Shift + B Please post the diagnostic information found within paint.net. Settings -> Diagnostics -> Copy to clipboard.
  16. This plugin is absolutely ancient, and does not require the latest version of Paint.NET. Your problem lies elsewhere. You should use the latest version of Paint.NET anyways though.
  17. I not saying to block all connections for paintdotnet.exe Just block www.vandermotten.be to disable the update check.
  18. For our Newbies and Guests, we have an obnoxious banner at the top of every page within Plugins - Publishing ONLY. "How could anyone possibly ignore this banner!?", I said when I added it.
  19. Do you want to draw a character? Do you want to combine several sprites into a sprite sheet? Something else? Please describe what you actually want to accomplish.

  21. The plugin does have an option to remember Position and Size, but it doesn't seem to be working 100% correctly. It might be easy to fix though. I'll add it to my To Do list.
  22. I can't reproduce this issue. Are you sure the user interface didn't open on another monitor?
