  2. Thanks, and yea the tape was supposed to look like it was wrapped around the cd case.
  3. Hey guys long time, no see haha. I just finished an album cover for a friend of mine using PDN and a photo I had taken of him so I figured I'd share: See, I still use Paint.net
  4. Wow this place got an upgrade since I last saw it lol, looks great!
  5. I use PDN every once in awhile, I be using it to design my business card here in a few weeks. I shoot with a Nikon D40 and I had two flashes for the shot, one camera left in a reflective umbrella close to my friend and the other was camera right further off behind him to give separation from the background and help freeze the water. It was just a spur of the moment shoot so I didnt work too hard on getting the light perfect.
  6. Thanks guys, I used to play but not so much anymore, and thats a friend in the pic not me but it is my bass lol.
  7. Used pdn a couple days ago to edit some amps in the background of one of my photos:
  8. Your text came out very nice, I'm happy to see that my tut is still being used . And sorry that it is a little difficult to understand it's just that I've always been better at making art then writing things haha
  9. Just wanted to say that I use this effect nearly every time I open Paint.net, thank you for it.
  10. the Transparency by Color effect looks like it could come in handy with car chops thanks
  11. Here's a few pics I took and then edited in Paint.net Original: End result: Hidden Content: Original: End result: Hidden Content: Original: End result: Hidden Content: And here's some portraits i did for friends:
  12. I wonder, is there a way to make a bigger "download now" button for the PDN link so that people will see it before they see the advertisements button?
  13. It's supposed to look like he's further back in the water, and yes its a shark. Also don't worry about the leak cause I put a border on it so it won't flood the forum.
  14. The texture is very nice, the guys could be blended into the background a little better but it looks pretty good. Haven't actually done any digital art in awhile so here something:
  15. Just use the rounded rectangle tool( ) in outline mode( :ShapeOutline: ) and make it a tiny bit smaller then the first rectangle.
  16. cant do it with Paint.net, and I'm not sure if it will ever be a part of the program so your best bet is to use another program. Personally I use either the Windows add on resizer or "Easy Graphic Converter". Both work pretty well, hope that helped.
  17. I've been messing with trying to replicate the HDR image style in Paint.net and here's some of my first results: Some of the effects used: -shadow/highlight recovery -local contrast enhancement -sharpen -glow plus some other adjustments As soon as I get it to a point that looks good I'll make a tut
  18. Not to be too picky but this would be great with a "review" button so that I could check back with the original pic while using it. Great plugin, at first I thought it was gonna be like the "Local Contrast Enhancement" plugin but it's not. It's seems like this is gonna help a lot with my current project of replicating HDR images with Paint.net
  19. wow great job on that yellowman! Looks great, and I agree with LFC4EVER about the blurring that would make it look even better. Took a picture of my camera with my camera(used a mirror) lol: Here's the original images:
  20. Try putting them up on DeviantArt as prints and see if you get any attention there, then if they sell pretty well you could try and find some places to show/sell them.
  21. make sure it looks like this: :AntiAliasingOn: in your toolbar and not this: :AntiAliasingOff:
  22. Looks pretty cool, like the colors. The render is too sharp imo though. I needed something to do so I made my computer speaker: Its from scratch only using my speaker as reference lol EDIT: Made a light bulb, saw it in a photoshop tut I think:
  23. Right click the menu item and go to "send to" then click "desktop (create shortcut)"
