Here's something that I made based on a dream. Of course my dream version is way better XD I dreamt that I forced a moon-like asteroid from crashing into a planet and repelling it back the way it came from, then later looking inside of the holes on the side of a game machine (like the pinball ones you see at like Chuck-E-Cheese's) and then seeing this awesome blue flame thingy (with solar flares like from the sun) and it had hundreds of moon-like planets circling it because of gravity. I thought the one I repelled came from there XD Well, this is my crappy version of that image, so enjoy X_x

I'm just wondering if it's possible to make backgrounds like trees, rocks, mountains, etc. on Paint.NET. I've been a user of Paint.NET and no other image editing program for a long while, but I'm not the brightest person to fgiure things out on my own. :? I know we don't have airbrushing at the moment, but I do know we have other ways, like using Custom Brushes. I just don't know how to make realistic looking backgrounds. If anyone is willing to give me a little light, I'd be very grateful.

Oh, I'm an idiot! ^^' I should have realized that by now! I've had Paint.NET for a long time, but I don't use it a lot. Thank you, both your answers have made sense! Now I can continue with my CGing!

I've tried to use the search, but I couldn't find anything, so I'm sorry if someone already posted something similar to this >.< I had this drawing that I inked and scanned to the computer. I decided to give it a try at CG painting, but I saw that the lines were antialised and made it look bad when I tried to paint a color. Is there a good way to remove it, but not make it look really jagged and sharp either? :? Thanks so much for reading this! ^.^ Here's an example of what happens when I try to color something:

I created this using the space tutorials put together. I was too lazy to make it look realistic though. But at least I actually put more effort into combining my work into one image, yayz!

Umm, I can't seem to make the waterdrop. For some reason, my drop stays black even after I move the layer down. Is there anything I did wrong?

Wow, awesome! I especially like the glassy part most of all. What I did: Umm, it was meant to be a rose -_- But I guess I pixelized it too large? Ah, oh well.
