Wow, seriously? I thought this SOTW comp was supposed to be about flags? Either I have no idea about talent, or something very fishy is going on here? I actually thought MJW had the best entry of all........ No wonder real talent never stays long on this forum..... Please delete my account, I'm outta here.

Great tut! My example isn't as nice as yours, but it's a start..........

Very well done Red! I'm still trying to figure out how you did the multi-colored refraction on the jewel faces. Very clever Technic. -
+1 for TR's Alpha Cutter. It is a very useful and efficient tool for extraction.

One way you can do it, is by applying Vignette filter. Effects > Photo > Vignette. -
No harm carrying it out another week or so, I like the diversity of the entrants. The more, the merrier. Bummer that Pixey ain't here though...............

Shut down PDN and restart windows, then try to delete the file. If that doesn't work, you can try my favorite method for such things. Boot-up with a Linux distro, navigate to your problem file and delete it for good......

Cleaning and Sharpening a Photo?
racerx replied to Marilynx's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
Here is a very clean 8x upscale @ 8192 x 8184 in PDN format with separate foreground and background. This will allow full editing..... Heartland_LLC_8x.zip -
Cleaning and Sharpening a Photo?

nnedi3 works in powers of 2. That means you can upscale 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x, etc. The image I uploaded was 4x because of this forum size limitations. I can easily kick out an 8x or 16x if you'd like. An 8x upscale would result in an 8192 x 8184 image for example. -

Here is your final image sharpened (sharpen +) and upscaled to 4096 x 4092 via "nnedi3" (the best upscaler that I know of)...... Deleted file. will post a better one... -

How do I gradient my texts?

I would do it with "Alpha Mask" plugin. Easy to do and best quality in PDN. -

What I would do is use the "Shape Maker plugin" the trace the shapes. You only need to make one for the dog and one for the horse (the other horse is the same only flipped in X axis). This will allow you to make the shapes in any size you want without quality loss. -
Wavelength with gradual frequency change?
racerx replied to CommandoAir's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
In PDN, I also recommend Sine curves plugin. There are free tools out there that can generate sine waves from an audio file while it plays. Here is an example, the song is "Another one bites the dust" by Queen. -
Here is a better effort. I used Alpha Mask plugin to cut through texture and reveal the gradient below.

BoltBait's Seam Carving v2.2 Updated December 3, 2015
racerx replied to BoltBait's topic in Plugins - Publishing ONLY!
OK, let me start by saying that I really do appreciate and like your PDN plugins very much. I also have tested a few "Content aware resize filters" in various programs, to be truthful, I'm not sold on the merits of this type of filter. This one is a real head scratcher though. Is it not possible to just enter a horizontal and vertical resize dimension and be done with it? -
Pixey I hope your leave is just temporary, this forum will have a huge loss without you and your talent. What ever you choose, I wish you all the best.

Here's a simple shot sequence animation of some pics I shot the other day.

Very well done Lynx. With so many talented people like you making shapes, It really ups the creativity power of the general PDN user.
