  1. This tutorial is available as a PDF. Click here to view or download it You Will Need: GROBOLD Text http://www.dafont.com/grobold.font DropShadow Effect http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/8375-drop-shadow-and-other-effects-krisvdms-plugin-pack-updated-2010-10-26/ STEP 1 Create a new Image STEP 2 Write your desired text, In whatever color you want. (This effects works best with Lighter colors) STEP 2b The Effect works best with the GROBOLD Font STEP 3 Create the first drop shadow, It should be a dark grey, and not black, with a Blur radius of 0, and a Widening radius of 6 STEP 4 Add a second drop shadow, This time it should be black, and should have a Widening radius of 5 STEP 5 Make sure your on a new layer Create a black ellipse that covers the bottom half of the text STEP 6 Hide the layer with the ellipse on it, by removing the X in the box by the layers Now highlight the inside part of the text STEP 7 Make the ellipse visible again. Make sure the ellipse layer is selected, while the inside of the text is still selected STEP 8 Using the move tool, move the selected part away from the ellipse. It should like it does above. Now erase the rest of the ellipse STEP 9 Drag the black selection back on to the rest of the text STEP 10 Change the opacity of the black selection layer to around 40 There you go, That is the finished product This effect can be achieved in Photoshop a lot easier, but i like to use it more in Paint.Net. In photoshop its hard to get the rounded look off of the text. -TacticalFailure (Fail Clan Leader)
